The Department of Works and Services of the Yaiza City Council will close the access road to the tourist and residential area of Puerto Calero to traffic in order to carry out various improvement works, including resurfacing some small sections that have deteriorated in recent months due to heavy rains and heavy traffic.
These works will be carried out directly by municipal workers charged to the municipal budgets, despite being a road section of island ownership. The location in the area of the Yaiza Institute where about 500 students, teachers and their respective vehicles pass daily advises to carry out this work immediately, said Councilor José Antonio Rodríguez.
The closure of this section, which is warned to citizens and residents in the area, will be during the day tomorrow Thursday, February 9.
On the other hand, the Councilor of Works of the City Council of Yaiza, José Antonio Rodríguez, advanced that Yaiza will carry out jointly with the Department of Public Works of the Cabildo of Lanzarote several actions in the road network of southern Lanzarote. Rodríguez expresses his gratitude and collaboration to the Councilor of the Area, Sergio Machín.
