The Public Works Area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, coordinated by Jacobo Medina, is carrying out works for the drainage of rainwater on the LZ-2 road, towards Tías-Arrecife.

Jacobo Medina explains that "the operators of the company awarded the maintenance of the island's road network are installing several drains, specifically at kilometer point 5+600, to drain rainwater and prevent it from accumulating on the road, which poses an obvious danger to drivers."

The Cabildo also reports that the works, which do not require the closure of this road to traffic, "are being carried out at a low point on the road that is problematic during the heavy rain season, as it suffers floods that pose a risk to traffic." "Our goal is to keep the island's roads in good condition and maximize safety conditions for the good of all," concludes Medina.
