The mayor of Tías and PP candidate for re-election, Pancho Hernández, has revealed this Monday some of the names he has proposed to accompany him on the electoral list, among which is the current councilor and Cabildo member, Saray Rodríguez, as number 2, who, however, will not repeat as a candidate for the first institution. According to Hernández, Francisco Javier Aparicio will double, running as number 3 to the Cabildo and is expected to be part of the PP list to the Tías City Council again.
In addition to Rodríguez and Aparicio, the PP candidate for mayor has proposed that two other current councilors of the Consistory repeat on the list. "In all these years, my colleagues have allowed me to have the next three people be proposed by the candidate, and I have proposed that the people in position two be Saray Rodríguez, three be Aroa Pérez, and four be Ramón Melián," announced Pancho Hernández, who hopes that his proposal will be approved by the party's bodies.
According to the PP candidate for mayor of Tías, the electoral list must first be approved by the local electoral committee, which will meet this Monday afternoon. "And once the candidacy is approved, it will be transferred to the island's party leadership, because it has to go through the filter of the island's electoral committee," Hernández pointed out, adding that, in addition, "since Tías is a municipality of more than 20,000 inhabitants, it has to go through a third filter, which is the regional list committee."
Nerea Santana has joined the PP candidacy for the Cabildo but will not repeat on the list for the Tías City Council. According to Hernández, the current councilor of the Consistory "did not want to continue in Tías in this case."
Joel Delgado could run for Senate again
"Tías will be well represented in the Cabildo candidacy," said the mayor of Tías, who highlighted that in addition to Francisco Javier Aparicio and Nerea Santana, who will be in the top positions, there are three other people from the PP of the municipality who will be part of the candidacy for the first institution, who are Olivier Hendri Roper and Rayco Mesa and Daniel Cañada, two colleagues from the Local Committee.
In addition, Pancho Hernández has also indicated who could be the candidate for the Senate. "I understand that the island's party leadership has proposed to Joel Delgado that he accept being the candidate again," he stated.
