The San Bartolomé City Council has acquired socio-health material, including about twenty articulated beds. The council has stated in a press release that the acquisition of this socio-health material shows a "firm commitment to continue improving care in the homes of dependent people."

These articulated beds are beds adapted for the elderly or those in need of special care. These articulated geriatric beds improve their quality of life, providing them with greater autonomy, and also facilitate and optimize their care and improve their rest.

The mayor of the San Bartolomé City Council, Isidro Pérez Martín, explains that "this is just one of the many initiatives that, from the city council, are promoted in terms of health and well-being of this group, with comprehensive care that ranges from the home help service to the direct intervention of professionals in the family environment. At this point, psychologists, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists intervene, who establish the guidelines with "the aim of slowing down cognitive deterioration and accelerating the progress of diseases that affect their autonomy through activities, exercises, and routines personalized to their specific needs."

For her part, the Councilor for Social Welfare, Carmen Medina, adds that "these equipments result in the improvement of the day-to-day life of both caregivers and dependent people. In short, any tool that contributes to making the care of dependent people easier and more bearable, and that in turn promotes their well-being and autonomy, is undoubtedly a resource of great value."
