The refurbishment works on the San Bartolomé soccer field have been completed. After receiving the accessibility work on the soccer field, the city council has handed over the keys to San Bartolomé CF. During the refurbishment of the facilities, the services in the area have been expanded by creating an independent building in which two storage spaces, a laundry room, a meeting room and a recovery room for the players have been established. In addition, the access ramps have been adapted and the enclosure wall of Guatifay Street has been refurbished.
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, has pointed out that this work, highly demanded by the Club, "will allow us to provide modern and updated facilities, with spaces that respond to their needs and adapt to accessibility regulations." In this sense, he stated that from the City Council "we will continue working to modernize the spaces of the municipality and promoting all those projects that improve the conditions of the neighbors and clubs for sports practice".
The work will cover the basic needs of the existing soccer field area in the municipal sports center, replacing the enclosure wall of the façade of Guatifay Street, which was in a state of deterioration, and the provision of a conditioning space. In addition, it will improve accessibility conditions, with the removal of architectural barriers through the execution of an accessible route from the street level to the lawn area, overcoming a difference in level of 1.91 meters.
This project, which has involved enabling an area of 178.20 square meters, has had a budget of 340,353.46 euros, financed through the Municipal Cooperation plan 2022 of the Cabildo de Lanzarote.
