Puertos Canarios has awarded the administrative concession for the installation of a gas station in the port of La Tiñosa, which will also include other services such as a cafeteria, sale of naval products and a small minimarket. The UTE formed by the Cofradía de La Tiñosa and Autos Sol y Playa S.L. has been awarded the concession of this supply station, which has been carried out by means of a tender, according to the Government of the Canary Islands.
The investment for the construction and start-up of these facilities will amount to 820,000 euros and the annual fee to be paid for this concession will be 24,000 euros. The fees for these concessions will be updated annually in the same proportion as the variation experienced by the general Consumer Price Index (CPI), according to the regional Executive.
Also, the term of the administrative concession will be 15 years, according to the Ports Law of the Canary Islands. In the event that an extension is requested, "the duration of this plus the initial term of the concession may not exceed 30 years".
Puertos Canarios has established a series of conditions that must be met by the concessionaires, such as providing the fuel supply service to ships and that "guidance services" such as "cafeteria, sale of naval products, fuel supply to vehicles and a small minimarket" remain.
In addition, they will also have to provide fuel supply to fishermen at a subsidized cost "plus one euro cent" and to sports and recreational boats "according to the amounts in force in the Tax Law of the Government of the Canary Islands, plus two euro cents".
