The Department of Public Works of the Cabildo of Lanzarote begins the paving of the LZ-501, on the road that connects Conil and La Asomada.
“This first phase will include between the Conil crossing and the Tegoyo ravine road”, says Medina, who also anticipates that the rest of the road will be paved presumably in two weeks, when a particular work that prevents continuing with the paving is completed.
Medina moved this Thursday to the town of Conil to supervise the work done. “We have already started with the first layers of asphalt, to reopen this section as soon as possible so that the residents of the towns of Conil and Tegoyo can circulate normally.”
The Public Works area of the Cabildo has invested a total amount that amounts to 923,131.64 euros for the transformation of this road, with the company Hormigones Insulares S.L. being in charge of carrying out the works.
“We apologize to the neighbors for the inconvenience caused, but it was an obligation for us to intervene this road that was in an advanced state of deterioration”, concludes Medina.
