Option For Lanzarote has shown its rejection of the provisional opening of the Tinajo road for the Los Dolores festival since, in the opinion of the formation, the road still presents "deficiencies". "The residents of the municipality deserve adequate infrastructures and not half-finished projects that do not meet the necessary requirements for a road that is the main access road to Tinajo."
For Option for Lanzarote, the opening of the road in its current state also represents "an improvised measure that, instead of speeding up the definitive completion of the work, contributes to delaying it." Therefore, they express their fear that after the holidays, with the new closure of the road, "all kinds of unforeseen events will arise that will delay the definitive opening of the road, with those affected being the residents of Tinajo again."
The political formation also considers that "it is nothing more than an attempt by the current municipal government group to divert attention from the limited monitoring and lesser success achieved in the road project," they state.
In this sense, Option for Lanzarote believes that "if the government group had shown greater involvement in the past and exerted adequate political pressure, the road project would not be in this situation of having to open it in a hurry for Los Dolores".
