The Local Committee of Nueva Canarias-Canarista Bloc (NC-bc) in Arrecife wanted to denounce a situation they describe as a "botch", such as the fact that the pipe in the roundabout of Tajaraste street in Argana Alta has broken again.

According to Servando Pérez, president of the Local Committee of the Canarians, "with the last leak this morning there have been up to four times in less than a month that the pipe has broken, leaving the street incapacitated as a result of the water stream and the sinkhole it causes." A situation that Dorta describes as an "authentic botch" given the management that has been done by the municipal officials who "have not carried out an exhaustive follow-up of the repair."

"It is unheard of that a breakdown that is repaired up to three times breaks again in a few weeks, showing that something is not being done well not only in terms of the work, but also in its supervision," says Servando Pérez, who demands "political responsibilities in the face of a fact that in any private company would be grounds for dismissal."

For the Canarians, this latest event in Argana Alta clarifies even more their denunciation of the "crumbs" that the residents of the neighborhoods receive from the government group of the Popular Party (PP) and the Canarian Coalition (CC), whom they accuse of being "more concerned with taking photos distorting reality on their social networks than with managing an ambitious and multidimensional neighborhood plan."

"The residents of the neighborhoods are not fooled and know perfectly well that for them there are only rivets and small actions that do not change their well-being and quality of life at all," says the Canarian, who "hopes that the mayor will take responsibility for the main problems that Arrecife presents and not kick balls out or try to cover up with pretty photos."
