The Department of Commerce of the Teguise City Council, managed by Lourdes Cabrera, has made a positive assessment after the celebration of the first of the four markets that are part of the Christmas Footprints program.
The Jablillo Shopping Center, in Costa Teguise, was the setting for this Christmas market, which was complemented by activities for children and adults; workshops to make decorations for these holidays with plants and flowers, painting and pastry and as a culmination a concert.
The 15 street stalls will move to the Nautical Shopping Center on December 19, 20 and 21. On the other hand, during the weekend the merchants of Avenida Marítima have proceeded to light the tree and the nativity scene.
The head of the Commerce Area, Lourdes Cabrera, has stated that the objective of this program is being fulfilled; to revitalize the commercial areas of Costa Teguise this Christmas, "the public administrations must, especially in these times, promote attractive activities for both tourists and residents. We have to get them to come to our shops, restaurants and bars."
