The panel discussion is part of the "socialist reflection" that will lead to the Federal Political Conference in October, according to a statement from this party.
In addition to Juan Fernando López Aguilar, the expert in participatory democracy, José Luis Asencio, the social activist Jorge Guevara, the general secretary of the Socialist Youth of Lanzarote, Jimena Álvarez, the coordinator of the Table and former senator for Lanzarote, Marcos Hernández, and the island secretary of the socialists, María Dolores Corujo.
Precisely, Corujo has assured that "one of the main challenges facing society and the Socialist Party, as a member of it, is to strengthen a democracy that guarantees the welfare state and incorporates new forms of citizen participation in decision-making."
