The spokesman for the Popular Party in the Yaiza City Council, Juan Monzón, acknowledges that "the internal crisis affecting the government of Oscar Noda, is beginning to be very worrying after the resignation of his number two and responsible councilor, among other areas, of Urban Planning, Housing and Social Services." “We are talking about the second casualty that has occurred in the Government in just two years of mandate, which also affects very important and weighty areas of government within municipal management,” says Monzón.
“Although the Mayor wants to downplay it, the truth is that the internal differences that both Camacho and Karina Centero have recognized are having a negative impact when it comes to facing the many challenges and pending issues that the municipality has,” says the popular councilor, who has been denouncing for some time "the paralysis suffered by the southern consistory due to the absences of a mayor who is more concerned with making opposition in the Cabildo than in solving the problems of the residents of Yaiza.”
"And it is that, instead of being an opportunity to develop its own government program, without ties or the logical conditions that having a government partner entails, Oscar Noda has turned UPY's absolute majority into a problem in itself due to the lack of leadership and the inability to form a united government team," he continues.
"In the end, the succession of resignations and the consequent remodeling of areas is only generating paralysis and delay in the processing of municipal matters," he says. In this same sense, the Councilor for Festivities himself recently pointed out that "he has not had time to organize events for New Year's Eve, despite having been in office for three months."
“If that is the case, what forecasts can the residents have and what can we expect with other projects that are relevant, such as the tender for the garbage service, parked for seven years, the sports hall that remains closed or the same general plan overturned by the courts and currently appealed,” they ask from the Popular Party.
