About 200 people gathered on Friday night at the Mancha Blanca socio-cultural center to attend the presentation of the PSOE candidate for the Tinajo city council, José Luis Bahillo, and the list that accompanies him.
In his speech, Bahillo highlighted the importance of promoting the greatest mobilization of voters on May 22, "to put an end to inefficiency, lack of transparency and favoritism in the city council." "We must be aware that always, but especially in tough times like these, it is not indifferent who wins the Elections; it is not the same for the mayor to renew his bad practices as for the socialists to govern for the benefit of all," he said.
He also recalled that the only work well done in the current Legislature in the municipality of Tinajo has been "the one with the ZP seal". "The completion of the sports hall, the improvement of its accesses and the construction of the car park; the adaptation of the Socio-cultural Center; the remodeling of the House of Culture and the Municipal Theater or the installation of WIFI networks in municipal dependencies are some of the examples of investments by the central Government in our municipality," he pointed out.
The socialist candidate criticized that the current mayor organized a Christmas family event in the sports center, "which does not have the minimum safety guarantees" or that he made an exhibition with his racing car in the schoolyard. "Faced with demagoguery and populism, the PSOE candidacy brings new projects, new ideas and new people to get out of municipal paralysis," he said.
The candidate for the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Manuela Armas, the head of the list for the Parliament of the Canary Islands for Lanzarote, Manuel Fajardo, the senator Marcos Hernández and the general secretary of the PSOE insular, Carlos Espino, also spoke.
