The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz Saavedra, has joined this week as a member of the Tourism Commission of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), an body that brings together all municipal entities, provincial councils, councils and island councils of the country.

Cruz stressed the importance of this appointment for the municipality: "For our municipality of Tías it is very important to be part of this commission because we are present in the decisions that are made at the tourist level in Spain. It is essential to know firsthand the steps that are being taken in tourism matters."
This appointment is repeated once again for the mayor of Tías, since it is not the first time that the municipality has been part of a commission of this magnitude, which will allow for greater involvement in key issues related to tourism at the national level.
