A family from Lanzarote suffered an unusual anecdote last weekend at a municipal football field in Teguise when they arrived at the venue to enjoy a sporting match, bringing a dog with them.

A couple had traveled to the Costa Teguise municipal field to enjoy a football match in their son's Infantil category, which was being played between the local team Palmeiros de Costa Teguise and the visiting team, Inter de Playa Honda

Thirty minutes after arriving at the field, according to witnesses who spoke to La Voz, the caretaker asked them to leave the outdoor sports space because dogs were prohibited from entering.

The family later verified that there was a sign at the entrance expressly prohibiting the entry of pets into the municipal facilities. Given the circumstances, both left the sports establishment with the dog.

Fifteen minutes after leaving the field, one of the local club's children suffered a dislocated shoulder. At that moment, they began to call for a doctor, and it so happened that one of the people who had been expelled from the field for bringing a pet was a doctor.

According to witnesses who spoke to this publication, the woman had to leave the dog with her husband outside the field and re-enter the facilities to attend to the minor who had suffered a dislocated shoulder.

One of La Voz readers has contacted this publication to invite reflection on the prohibition of accessing the Costa Teguise football field with animals. Meanwhile, he indicated that this family has not encountered the same problem at other fields on the island.
