The square meter to buy a home in Lanzarote marked 3,122 euros in May, 10.6% more expensive than a year ago when it cost 2,822 euros, according to figures provided by the Lanzarote Data Center.

The only municipality in Lanzarote where prices are lower than a year ago is Yaiza, although at that time the south had the highest prices on the island, and which Tías now surpasses.

The square meter currently costs an average of 3,737 euros in Yaiza, which represents a 4.3% decrease from what was charged a year ago when it amounted to 3,906 euros.

With the exception of Tías, which was already very close to 4,000 euros per square meter a year ago and where the price has barely risen in the last year, specifically to 3,873 euros, and Tinajo, where there are not enough properties to make a realistic calculation, prices have risen enormously in the rest of the municipalities.

The greatest increase occurred in San Bartolomé where homes for sale cost 33% more on average than a year ago. If in May 2025 the square meter was 2,271 euros, this year it marked 3,019 in the last month with available data, which was March for this municipality.

Next, Arrecife, where the square meter has soared by 21.3% in the last year, going from 1,913 euros in May of the previous year to 2,321 euros last month.

In Teguise, spurred by the increase in prices in Costa Teguise, the square meter marked 3,233 euros in May, which is equivalent to an 18.5% increase compared to the price a year ago, which amounted to 2,727 euros.

Haría, for its part, has experienced a price increase of 17.7% per square meter, as last year it cost an average of 2,597 euros and now it is 3,059 euros.
