Javier Navarro from Lanzarote chairs the new regional political party 'Más Canarias', linked to Íñigo Errejón's state party. The formation begins its journey in the archipelago  and Florisela Rodríguez will be the treasurer, who together with Navarro  will serve as a link with the national organization.

In addition, Marta Hernández (vice president), Jesús Martínez (secretary) and Elsa Vera, Mateo Ojeda, Sara Figueroa and Sergio García as members are part of the leading cadres.

Más Canarias sets as its main values "ecologism, progressivism, federalism and feminism", and among its most important political bets are achieving energy independence for the Canary Islands and ensuring that 100% of the energy comes from renewable sources in 2035.

In a statement, Javier Navarro points out that "this is a movement for all of the Canary Islands and not just for the capital islands" while Florisela Rodríguez points out that in a moment like the present, "with what La Palma is suffering because of this eruption and after the terrible summer fire", there is a need for "an alternative that puts life and care at the center and gives true dignity to people".
