The judicial administrators of the public water company of Lanzarote, Inalsa, have hired a new human resources director after an employment regulation file (ERE) was approved a little over a month ago to dismiss 35 workers.
The company committee has called a workers' meeting for this Wednesday at eleven in the morning to oppose this hiring. The assembly will decide what measures to take in this regard.
According to the spokesperson for the company committee, David Luna, this hiring is illegal because the administrators promised not to hire anyone after the regulation file. "This violates the agreements, ?Luna points out? we do not understand the situation because it is not the time to make these contracts."
The person hired will be in charge of the company's human resources department, the coordination of occupational health and safety, relations with the company committee and collective bargaining, as well as the representation of the company and legal direction in legal proceedings related to its activity.
Two more
Since the file was presented to dismiss these 35 workers, who will have to leave the company gradually (the first in the month of June), two more hires have been made, both in the production department, one at the Punta Grande plant and the other at the Janubio plant.
