Enara Colmenero has been elected local secretary of the PSOE of Yaiza in the assembly held on the night of this Wednesday, March 23. She headed the only consensus list that was presented, and which obtained the unanimous support of the members attending the assembly. Francisco Javier Manso will accompany her as Secretary of Organization and Lucía Marquinez as Secretary of Municipal Policy. In this way, the process of renewal of the leaderships of the socialist groups of Lanzarote continues, which will culminate next April.

The new local secretary of the PSOE of Yaiza had words of recognition and gratitude for the work carried out by the previous team of the party in the municipality, and assured that the new leadership aims to "reconnect with the neighbors, listen to their needs and bring solutions to their problems and demands to the City Council."
Enara Colmenero assured that the PSOE of Yaiza "will work to the maximum to help María Dolores Corujo to be proclaimed president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote again and Ángel Víctor Torres to repeat as president of the Government of the Canary Islands, because they are proving to be the most capable people to defend the interests of Lanzarote and the Canary Islands."
"Strengthen the party in the municipality of Yaiza"
For this, Enara Colmenero pointed out: "We have to go out and become close and credible to get the neighbors to give us the same confidence in the local elections as they give us in the general elections." In the last general elections of 2019, the PSOE was the most voted force in Yaiza and obtained 30.1% of the votes cast (1,010), but six months earlier, in the local elections, it was only the fourth in votes.
Finally, Enara Colmenero thanked for the trust placed in her. "I am aware of the responsibility I acquire when leading the new Local Committee of the PSOE of Yaiza, which will strive to strengthen the party in this municipality and obtain the support of the electorate to be able to develop our program of progress," she said.
The list of members of the Island Committee was ratified unanimously. They are representatives of Yaiza in the highest body between Congresses of the PSOE of Lanzarote: Iraides Torres and Andrei-Alexandru Atodiresei.
