El Tahíche defines the statements of the mother who accused the club of discriminating against her son for his weight as slander and libel.

Given the events that have occurred during the week, and in view of the controversy created around the accusations made by Mrs. Juana María Martín, regarding the alleged discrimination against her son, the board of directors of Club Deportivo Tahíche has sent a press release in which it assures that "it is forced to file a public complaint to clarify the slander and insults spread by this person."

The club wants to communicate to all its members, supporters and especially to parents of the minors that make up the club's football family, that "these accusations are unfounded since neither the monitors nor the managers use discriminatory language. Our entity operates within the framework of common respect, work and solidarity among each other," they continue.

Emphasis is also placed on the fact that the club has not denied participation, nor has it prevented the correct practice of this sport; neither to that child nor to any child in general.

Likewise, they insist that the parents were informed of the situation at all times and have not done their part to improve it.
