The digital documentation service [www.memoriadelanzarote.com ->www.memoriadelanzarote.com] is beginning to arouse interest outside the island and, in recent days, the portal has been presented at the University of Liverpool and at the II Canary Islands Historical Photography Conference. This website belongs to the Data Center, an Area directed by Councilor Ángel Vázquez.

Last Monday, 24th Digital Memory of Lanzarote presented its portal at the University of Liverpool, with a seminar entitled Digital Community History: the Memoria de Lanzarote Project, which was attended by twenty professors and postgraduate students from the School of Cultures, Languages and Area Studies of said university. The event was organized by the Hispanic professor Kirsty Hooper (www.kirstyhooper.net), who "praised the quality of the information and the dissemination work of the Lanzarote digital archive", according to the Cabildo.

In addition, the portal www.memoriadelanzarote.com was also invited by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria to be presented at the II Canary Islands Historical Photography Conference organized by FEDAC. Gabriel Betancort, one of those responsible for the photographic collection of the FEDAC and the website www.fotosantiguascanarias.org, stated that the initiative of the Cabildo of Lanzarote was one of the most outstanding in the Canary Islands and described it as "a model for everything related to the dissemination of the island's heritage".
