The PSOE of Teguise has expressed its satisfaction for the award, this March 15, of the service for the drafting of the project of a new public education center in the town of Costa Teguise by the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands led by Minister Manuela Armas.
This is reflected in the contracting profile of said Ministry, which has proceeded to award the company Henríquez Sánchez Ingeniería y Arquitectura S.L.P - from among the nine offers submitted - the realization of the technical project of the new center for an amount of 129,042 euros, IGIC included.
The project, for which the awarded company will have a period of four months for its drafting, will have the purpose of designing and providing technical assistance for a compulsory education center - “CEO Costa Teguise” - of 30 units, which will allow to meet the increase in educational demand in the two existing public centers, both the School and the Institute of Costa Teguise, covering students up to the fourth year of ESO.
The Minister of Education, Manuela Armas, confirmed that “if everything goes normally, before the end of the year we will have the project drafted and we will then put out to tender the execution of the works, aware that this new center will improve the educational offer of a town as important as Costa Teguise.”
For his part, the socialist spokesperson and candidate in Teguise, Marcos Bergaz, wanted to personally convey to Manuela Armas “his satisfaction for this important step so that Teguise has a new center that meets the present and future needs of the educational community of the municipality.”
“The Minister fulfills the announcement made recently in Lanzarote that it would be one of the first awards to be made in 2023, which has been the case, in good news for Teguise,” Bergaz continued.
Finally, both shared various issues related to the municipality of Teguise, such as actions aimed at providing shade spaces to various educational centers, in another historical claim that “will be addressed by the commitment of the current regional government to the educational quality and attention to students of public education centers,” Armas and Bergaz agreed.
