The youth of Coalición Canaria launch this criticism after the appointment of Joaquín Mario Morales Romero as general director of Planning and Budgets of the Ministry of Finance of the regional Executive was announced this Tuesday, of which they point out that "he has been militating in Coalición Canaria Lanzarote for a very short time."
"Previously, other people who do not belong to the party have already been appointed to different positions in various local and island institutions," the JNL emphasize. "We believe that within our ranks there are many people just as valid as the last-minute appointments to lead general directorates in the Government of the Canary Islands or in any other institution that does represent the concerns of CC Lanzarote," says the spokesperson for the JNL.
Regarding the appointment of Joaquín Mario Morales, they affirm that they know that this is not the only appointment "that has been made under the CC banner in other local and island institutions" and that they want to "make it clear" that they do not doubt "the professionalism and what he can contribute to the island." "But if we look at home, we will find many profiles with the same capabilities and the loyalty to the party that they represent," they add.
"We want to send a message to our leaders so that they do not forget that Coalición Canaria Lanzarote is made by the members, not those who signed up at the last minute to grab a position, it is to them that we owe the fact that we can govern today," say the young nationalists.
