On October 25, the plenary session of the Yaiza City Council, responding to a repeated demand that the Coalición Canaria (CC) group had been demanding from the municipal government led by Óscar Noda, approved the transfer of a plot of land to the Government of the Canary Islands so that the Ministry of Health could undertake the necessary expansion of the Playa Blanca Health Center

However, the spokesperson for CC Yaiza in the southern City Council, Emilio Machín, denounces that "more than four months after approving it in plenary session, the mayor has not moved a single paper to proceed with said transfer, an agreement that he only adopted as a reaction and after shamelessly describing as an orchestrated attack the interventions of both the parliamentarian and president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, and the councilor Esther Monzón, demanding this measure from him".

In this regard, Emilio Machín regrets that "once again the residents of the municipality of Yaiza are victims of the disinterest of Óscar Noda and what remains of his party UPY in municipal issues, since the obstacle for the Government of the Canary Islands to proceed with the bidding for the expansion project came from an error committed by the municipal government group in 2021 that took more than three years to correct".

"After all that time without attending to the repeated requests that had been made from the Government and Parliament of the Canary Islands for him to correct the erroneous way in which the transfer of the plot had been carried out, and more than four months after he finally attended to said demands, the truth is that the mayor is once again hindering the expansion of the Playa Blanca Health Center due to his disinterest," denounces the spokesperson for the Canarian nationalist formation.

In this sense, Emilio Machín points out that Coalición Canaria will once again ask in the Parliament of the Canary Islands through the autonomous deputy and president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, about "the status of the expansion project of the Playa Blanca Health Center to see if Óscar Noda finally takes the hint and fulfills his duty as mayor once and for all".
