Coalición Canaria (CC) San Bartolomé denounces that the poor management of the municipal accounts by the socialist government group, with Isidro Pérez at the head, has caused the mayor to be in the
obligation to request a loan of 7 million euros, which will cause the indebtedness of the City Council for at least the next 12 years.
In this sense, the nationalist municipal spokesperson, David Rocío, recalls that during his time in government he left the institution “with 16 million in surplus”, and criticizes that “after years of socialist management without investments, because the works that are done in the municipality are from the Cabildo and the Canarian Government, now they want to continue their poor economic management by asking for a loan.”
David Rocío regrets that Isidro Pérez “has not continued to bet on the development of the industrial area as happened when Coalición Canaria governed, thus wasting an important source of income for the City Council”, and warns that “the amount of the loan represents almost 30% of the municipal budget.”
For the nationalist spokesperson, the request for said loan “is another example of the mayor's poor management, which, if it continues like this, will lead the municipality to ruin”, and recalls “the continuous abuse of the extrajudicial recognitions of debt of the government group, with a disbursement of more than 560,000 euros from municipal coffers last year alone, due to poorly done administrative procedures.”
