The Island Executive Commission of the Canarian Coalition has decided to maintain the agreements signed with the socialist party in the town councils of San Bartolomé, Teguise and Arrecife, as well as to request a meeting of the agreement monitoring table to try to redirect the situation.

"In an act of responsibility, the Commission has agreed to continue betting on stability, addressing the general secretary of the Socialist Party, María Dolores Corujo, to reconsider her position and redirect the difficult situation in which the institution and the island may be in during the coming months, until the constitution of a new government resulting from the polls after the next elections," they point out from Coalición Coanaria.

The Executive Commission of the Canarian Coalition held on Friday night will also convene the island monitoring table of the agreement for this same weekend, also requesting the convocation of the national monitoring table of the agreement for this Monday, March 9.

The nationalists also request the leaders of the PSOE to "make an exercise of responsibility that allows saving the most investor budgets of the legislature." According to the Canarian Coalition, "an effort must be made so that the interest of the people of Lanzarote prevails over partisan and electoral interests."

During the Commission, the municipal leaders of the organization have reviewed the investments planned in their municipalities by the Island Council. They point out that they are "investments of great importance, which would be in a difficult situation if the General Secretary of the PSOE does not reconsider her position and the approval of the island accounts is paralyzed." The body has unanimously condemned the "irresponsible attitude of the leadership of the Socialist Party in Lanzarote, understanding that party interests are being put before those of the island, which cannot remain for several months without stable majorities or approved budgets."
