The General Technical Secretariat of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Housing of the Government of the Canary Islands definitively approved this Monday the works of expansion of the Órzola Pier, in Haría, to the UTE formed by Sociedad Anónima Trabajos y Obras (SATO) and Joca Ingeniería y Construcciones, S.A.
The project must be executed within a period of three years and has a maximum budget of 9,028,587 million euros. In this way, the Haría City Council hopes that these works can begin as soon as possible to create a position suitable to the needs of the town.
PROJECT
The objective of this phase of expansion of the Pier is to achieve safe access and anchorage conditions. For this reason, the project bases its design on the construction of an exempt dike to attenuate the energy of the incident waves as well as the dredging of an access channel with sufficient permanent draft.
On the other hand, it includes the extension of 25 meters of the pier in order to increase the esplanade surfaces and the berthing line, allowing the stay of boats of greater length than those that can currently moor in the place. In this way, an improvement of the agitation conditions in the dock is achieved.
