The Arrecife City Council continues to resurface the streets of the municipality. In addition to the recent works, already completed in several streets of the neighborhoods of La Destila, La Vega, and Valterra, new works will be added this coming week to improve the pavement on the main road next to the IES Agustín Espinosa, in the center of the capital.
Yonathan de León has reported that sections of Coronel Bens and La Porra streets, in the vicinity of the institute, will be resurfaced this Monday and Tuesday. The mayor has detailed that the works, within the Municipal Resurfacing Plan, will be done at night to minimize inconvenience to the educational community, residents and businesses in the area.
The works to renew the pavement will focus on the section of Coronel Bens street, from its beginning on Rafael González avenue, to the corner with Canalejas street (area under transformation works), and the strip of road on La Porra street, in the section next to the corner of Coronel Bens street.
The mayor recalled that "all this environment is currently undergoing other important works such as the transformation of Canalejas street, from Coronel Bens to Avenida Mancomunidad, and La Porra street from Coronel Bens to the area adjacent to the El Almacén cultural center."
De León has specified that, with the works this week in the vicinity of the IES Agustín Espinosa, "the curbs will be removed in the area of the avenue", the initial section of Coronel Bens street, which has long presented a slight sinking in its pavement.
