The Arrecife City Council is launching the Municipal Christmas Reconciliation Camp for children between the ages of three and 12. This is a family and work reconciliation service, which is part of the Co-responsible Plan subsidy, organized by the capital's Consistory, whose period will be from December 26, 2023 to January 5, 2024.

The service will be provided from Monday to Friday, except holidays from 09:00 to 14:00, with the possibility of early collection from 07:00 to 09:00.

These camps will take place in three schools in different areas of Arrecife: CEIP La Destila, CEIP Titerroy and CEIP Argana Alta and it is not necessary to be a student of these schools to apply for a place.

It should be taken into account that, although the service is free, places are limited (60 places per educational center, 180 places in total) and until full capacity is reached.

50% of the places are reserved for families in vulnerable situations who are users of Social Services, while the other 50% are freely available to the citizens of Arrecife.

"Our objective is to provide tools that help work and family reconciliation during school holiday periods because not all families have the possibility of leaving their sons and daughters with other people while they are working," said the head of Social Welfare, Maite Corujo.

She also emphasizes that "we have decided to hold the camps in these three centers in order to bring the service closer to all neighborhoods. Thus, each family can choose the center that is closest to their home, workplace, etc."

The reservation of a place will be made in order of request in compliance with the requirements (registered in Arrecife).
