The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, held a meeting this Tuesday with various tour operators in which she shared her concern about the evolution of the pandemic and its socioeconomic consequences.
The councilors of Health, Tourism and Security and Emergencies, Juan Manuel Sosa, Ángel Vázquez and Francisco Javier Aparicio, also attended the meeting.
Throughout the meeting, the different strategies to resort to for early diagnosis were analyzed, which would reduce the rate of contagion and redirect the situation to parameters compatible with normality.
For their part, the businessmen attending the meeting offered the president their collaboration not only in the debate of the measures to be taken but also in the financing of the same.

"From the first moments of the crisis I have assured that moving forward will require the joint effort of the administration, the business sector and the citizens" Corujo highlighted, who pointed out: "I am extremely satisfied to have received an offer of collaboration full of responsibility and solidarity from this group of tourism entrepreneurs convinced of the need to join efforts to move forward."
The president explained that over the next few days this offer of collaboration will be finalized in concrete actions that will be announced.
