The Chambers of Commerce of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura have organized the first 'Commercial Meeting of Canarian Wines and Cheeses' that will bring together this Thursday, October 16, 86 companies from the sector from all over the Archipelago. The event has two main objectives: to serve as a meeting point and exchange of experiences between companies in the sector and to facilitate the marketing of these products in the Archipelago.

The business meeting tries to find joint solutions to the marketing problems of wines and cheeses in the regional market. As explained in the presentation of the event by the president of the Foreign Trade Commission of the Lanzarote Chamber of Commerce, Santiago Díaz, the intention is to highlight that "leaving one's own island is not difficult."

The meeting seeks to ensure that companies first consolidate in the island market and that they can collaborate to strengthen themselves in the regional market through initiatives such as the formation of temporary business associations or jointly taking advantage of supply and marketing networks, reducing costs, among others.

This meeting is part of the Regionalization Program for small and medium-sized companies, developed together with the Ministry of Employment, Industry and Commerce of the Government of the Canary Islands and the rest of the Chambers of the Archipelago. The following presentations have been prepared: 'The spirit of enterprise, initiative and innovation', 'Strategies and benefits in inter-company cooperation', 'Commercial revitalization of wineries through shared diagnosis' and 'Development of wine tourism projects', in addition to the Round Table 'Trends in marketing channels'. Businessmen and university professors from Castilla y León, Castilla La Mancha, Madrid, the Basque Country and the Canary Islands will participate.

The Meeting will take place this Thursday, October 16, at the El Patio Agricultural Museum in Tiagua from 10:00 a.m. At the end of the Meeting there will be a lunch with tasting of local products.
