The company in charge of water management in Lanzarote, Canal Gestión, has reported that this Wednesday there are water cuts in six towns on the island. This was published on its website, updated at 07.15 in the morning.
Specifically, the towns of Haría and Máguez, in the north of the island, have no supply. In addition to this is the town of Tao in Teguise and the towns of Tías, Conil and Masdache in the municipality of Tías.
In addition, Canal Gestión has highlighted that there are other incidents due to minor breakdowns and scheduled maneuvers that may cause momentary alterations in the supply of specific streets. These are limited to daily and usual management, therefore they do not appear here.
These incidents are in the process of being resolved and do not always imply suspension of supply.
The continuous breakages and incidents that occur daily in the distribution network, an average of 10,000 per year, mean that more than 56% of the water is lost. "The logical increase in demand is causing suspensions and anomalies in the drinking water supply service for domestic use and also in agricultural supply."
