María Concepción Pérez González, head of the Pediatrics service at the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital, and Aniuska Sutil, medical director of Primary Care in Lanzarote, will represent the island if the candidacy of Médicos por la Ciencia, led by the pulmonologist and former head of the Pulmonology service at the Doctor Negrín Hospital, Pedro Cabrera, wins the elections for the Presidency of the Medical Association of Las Palmas next Friday, March 19.
Job stability and the improvement of primary care will be the keys to the candidacy of Dr. Pedro Cabrera, who explained that "things have been done from the Medical Association to improve the situation, but there is still much work to be done."
In this regard, he recalled that numerous meetings have been held with the Ministry of Health, the management of the Canary Islands Health Service (SCS) and the managements to address and seek solutions "to the temporary employment suffered by our doctors."
Finally, Cabrera thanked Pérez and Sutil for taking the step forward and highlighted the experience, curriculum and "great" career that the two specialists have had and have, since "they are a reference on the island of Lanzarote."
María Concepción Pérez González's curriculum includes a specialty in Pediatrics and Neonatology, a Doctorate in Medicine and head of the Pediatrics service at the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital. In addition, she has been Director General of Consumer Affairs of the Government of the Canary Islands and Minister of Education and Employment in the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
Aniuska Sutil Rosas is a specialist in Pediatrics, medical director of Primary Care in Lanzarote, doctor at the Titerroy Health Center, member of the Information Security Committee of the Lanzarote Health Services Management, and member of the Coordination Team between Primary Care Pediatrics and Specialized Care.
