The Mobile Team of the National Police Station of Arrecife will travel to Tías on May 14 to assist those residents who want to obtain or renew their National Identity Document (DNI).
For this purpose, the mayor of the municipality, Pancho Hernández, has announced that "the City Council has enabled a room in municipal dependencies, with wifi and telephone line, to be able to attend to citizens and that they do not have to travel to Arrecife to renew their DNI".
The mayor has expressed his satisfaction for "the prompt implementation of this much-needed service" and thanked "the collaboration shown by the Headquarters of the National Police Station in Arrecife." "This new measure will primarily benefit the elderly or those with difficulty in traveling, significantly improving the service and managing to decentralize and bring the Administration closer to the citizens," he said.

This mobile service is aimed at residents who find it much more difficult to travel and wait at the Arrecife Police Station. Likewise, citizens will also be facilitated to obtain the DNI for the first time, or due to loss, theft or deterioration.
In these cases, residents who wish to do so must request an appointment at the Tías Local Police telephone number 928 834 101, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. At the time of registration, a number will be assigned indicating the day and time of service, which will be Monday, May 14.
For its part, the DNI mobile team will proceed to take the required data of the interested parties that day and, subsequently, on Wednesday, May 16, the identity documents will be delivered. For the delivery of the document, the agents must take the fingerprint, so it is mandatory that the interested party go to the municipal facilities.
