Tías recorded the highest temperature in Lanzarote this Wednesday, reaching 40.3 degrees at 4:00 p.m., according to the State Meteorological Agency. The second municipality is Tinajo, which reached 35.2 degrees at 3:00 p.m. Those were the highest peaks in a day in which the situation of maximum alert due to high temperatures had been declared, and which was also marked by the strong presence of haze.

This Thursday, the island will go from red alert to orange alert. The minimum temperatures will remain with little change, while the maximum temperatures will experience a moderate decrease, although they will still exceed 34 degrees in the interior and southern coasts, where the minimums will not drop below 25ºC. As for the wind, it will blow from the northeast, light to moderate, intensifying in the afternoon, especially in inland areas.
