Maritime Rescue has rescued three boats in the early morning with about 144 people on board near the coasts of Lanzarote, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
The first of them was intercepted at 02:50 hours 13 miles from Órzola in the municipality of Haría. On it were 48 men, one woman and one minor, all of Maghrebi origin and in apparent good health.
Barely two hours later, the interception occurred 34 miles southeast of Arrecife, of a pneumatic type boat. On it were traveling 53 people, 52 men and one woman, all of sub-Saharan origin and in apparent good health.
Finally, Salvamar rescued at about 06:37 hours 14 miles southeast of Puerto del Carmen, another pneumatic type boat, with a total of 44 people rescued, one of them a minor. All occupants are of Maghrebi origin and are in apparent good health.
The 147 people have been transferred in the Guardamar Polimnia to the Comercial dock of the capital of Lanzarote, where they have been attended by the Red Cross. From the NGO they have reported that they have made 4 transfers to a health center for different pathologies.
