Adrián Hernández Sánchez was proclaimed the new Mr. Arrecife 2018 at the gala held at the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife this Friday. An event that kicked off with a surprising play of light and sound and the performance of the singer Daniel Moisés. Performance that served as a presentation for the aspirants. The public was able to meet the candidates who began their parade in swimwear, later in sportswear and finally in suits. All this on a methacrylate catwalk that was on top of the pool.
The nine aspirants to the title were supported throughout the night with applause from the more than 400 people in the audience, who at all times supported the nine young men who were taking to a stage to parade for the first time. Among them was a man from Murcia who moved to the island to participate, Enoc Rodríguez, who is training as a professional model. The young man learned about the contest through the social networks of @certamenarrecife, and thanks to him he enjoyed Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
In addition to Adrián Martínez, the first finalist was Omar Ruano. Diego de la Barrera was elected Mr. Elegance and Mr. Popularity. And the Mr. Elegance sash also went to Adrián Martínez. The colleagues voted for Pedro Cabrera as Mr. Congeniality.
The gala featured performances by Kevin Giraldo, a young Colombian singer-songwriter, music producer and artist in construction, especially of the Urban Genre (Reggaeton, Hip-Hop, Trap, Electromambo, Electrolatino, etc, and Daniel Moisés. The grand finale was given by the Lanzarote Baila dance school, founded in the city of Arrecife with more than 14 years of experience on stage and several triumphs in national and European championships, directed by its teacher Miguel Medina.
Among the authorities who attended were the mayor, Eva de Anta, the councilors David Duarte, Tomás Fajardo, Íñigo Inchausti, Vicky Sande and the Cabildo councilor, Benjamín Perdomo. Eva de Anta placed the sash and handed over the scepter to the new Mr. of the city of Arrecife.
The event also featured the presence of the young Lauren Arreyes, who was Mr. Arrecife 2014, and is currently studying in Madrid, where he is training as an actor.
The jury was composed of Alejandro Ramírez, Airán Fernández, Lara Arroyo, Luis Carrillo, Juandi Díaz, Alicia López Covarrubias, Luager Alex and acting as secretary Gisela González.
