The wind, protagonist of the III Architecture Congress of the MIAC

The architecture of the wind, the consequences of this meteorological phenomenon on construction models and the different techniques applied to solve it will be analyzed in three working groups by professors and students of the III International Architecture Congress of the MIAC.

The opening ceremony of this congress will take place next Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., with the presence of the Minister of the Presidency and Tourist Centers, Carlos Espino, and the director of the MIAC, María José Alcántara, among other authorities.

From 12:00 p.m. the presentations of the various speakers and attendees of the congress will take place, such as the directing architects, Juan Palop and Eduardo Cáceres, from the School of Architecture of Las Palmas; Marta Malé-Alemany and José Pedro Sousa, from the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Barcelona and Oliver Tessmann and Anton Savov, from the Architectur Program of the Staedelshule Academy of Arts, of Frankfurt (Germany).

After the first two meetings held in previous years, which dealt with shadow and color in architecture, it is the turn of the wind. This proposal closes a cycle of work focused on environmental conditions and the way of inhabiting the territory. It is planned that in future editions issues related to demographic densification or desertification will be analyzed.

The press conference and opening of the seminar will take place in the lobby of the Castillo de San José, where the activity will also be closed, next Tuesday, July 29 at 9:00 p.m.
