Tías will have a new health center in December, according to the announcement by the director of the Health Area, Juan Manuel Sosa. This new health space, which is already under construction, will have an area of more than 2,000 square meters, distributed in an L shape.
This new center comes to meet a need that the Tías City Council had been requesting. The mayor of the municipality, José Juan Cruz, stated that with the new facilities, they will try to ensure that the residents of Tías travel to other health centers as little as possible. "What we intend is to bring health care closer to all residents," commented José Juan Cruz.
This center will be distributed over two floors, the ground floor will house the administration area, the lobby, and the main core, as well as the extraction and treatment areas. On this floor, there will also be two pediatric consultation rooms, two nursing consultation rooms, as well as a consultation room for the midwife and a room for maternal education and rehabilitation, which will be installed away from this emergency area.
On the upper floor, there will be five Family Medicine consultation rooms and five nursing consultation rooms. There will also be space on this second floor of the health center for a social worker, the management offices, and a room dedicated to meetings.
