The NGO Emergencias y Rescate Lanzarote (EMERLAN) has announced that as of this Thursday it will no longer provide service with the aquatic lifeguard in Play Flamingo (Playa Blanca).
A statement from the association explains that "due to the damage caused to the beach by the passage of storm Delta, the company Carlisanri S.L. and Emerlan have agreed to suspend the agreement" by which both provided services, until the area is rehabilitated.
On the other hand, the NGO reports that it has informed the Government of the Canary Islands of the need to have another ambulance in the municipality of Yaiza, and its intention to present itself for the provision of said service.
