Last Sunday, December 4, the SomoS theater group won the Bronze Sauzal award at the XVIII Amateur Theater Festival of El Sauzal de Tenerife.
The play they performed on this occasion was 'Ícaro', a piece written and directed by Antonio García Orellana and performed by Luismi Junquera.
The theater group has been representing Lanzarote for more than 14 years and in the three editions of the El Sauzal Festival in which it has participated, it has obtained the Golden Willow and the award for best actor and actress.
The company was born at the end of 2007 in the town of Playa Honda in the municipality of San Bartolomé. Since then, they have performed more than 35 plays, micro-theater, street theater, monologues, performances, which they have taken throughout the island of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
