The RTVE program Jara y Sedal has dedicated a program to Lanzarote through the Nautical Academy of Lanzarote and Bitácora Nautical Academy. Aboard the Virgen Blanca, a 12-meter-long sailboat, this chapter begins along the coasts of Lanzarote.
In the last chapter of this space on public television, the director of the Lanzarote-Bitácora Nautical Academy, Óscar Fernández de Pinedo, narrated what a typical day is like on a boat of this size.
Pineda's boats, dedicated to fishing, recreational rental and sailing instruction, are located in Puerto Calero. Born in Vitoria, but moved to Lanzarote, he formed a family with his wife in Lanzarote. Since then, his businesses are entirely dedicated to the sea.
This academy trains future skippers of sports, recreational or yacht boats, as well as professional or sports courses.
