The Titerroy Neighborhood Association has been asking for solutions for a year to the poor condition of some streets in the neighborhood, as they say they are full of large potholes, which they have begun to cover with cement that the association itself has bought in the face of the "inefficiency of the city council".
"The deterioration is so great," say the residents of Titerroy, "that there are areas of the asphalt that have disappeared and there is only an earth pavement."
The condition of this street has been worrying for years, and despite the fact that residents pay for road tax, the damage to the asphalt has not been repaired. "We citizens pay our taxes annually so that, among other things, the streets we travel every day are in suitable conditions for traffic", complain from the neighborhood association.
The Titerroy Neighborhood Association denounces the deficiencies and poor condition of most of the streets in the neighborhood. "These deficiencies represent a real danger for the circulation of vehicles due to the large number of potholes and unevenness on the road", the residents point out.
According to the association, a "simple and almost non-existent make-up" has recently been done, paving sections of three streets in the neighborhood. "99 percent of the interior streets remain in the terrible conditions they have been in for years", says Ismael Montero, president of the neighborhood association, who demands the complete paving of all the streets.
The neighborhood association informs the city council that, if it does not take action on this matter soon, the neighborhood association will buy some bags of cement and take care of covering the potholes.
"If the City Council does not take action in this regard, we residents will cover the potholes with cement. Then let the City Council sanction us for not complying with the municipal ordinance", declares the president of the association, Ismael Montero.
