The Canary Islands are experiencing a real meteorological stew these days. So much so that rain has finally appeared in Lanzarote this Tuesday, August 20, after the haze and the suffocating heat. It has gone from temperatures of 35 degrees and an extremely unfavorable air due to the presence of dust in suspension this Monday, to having rainfall this Tuesday.
This Tuesday, the Government of the Canary Islands has decreed the end of the pre-alert for wind but maintains those for heat, storm and haze.
As will be recalled, the haze was so intense on the island that it forced a dozen flights to be diverted to the Fuerteventura airport due to poor visibility.
Forecast for Wednesday, August 21
For this Wednesday there will be cloudy intervals in the north tending to partly cloudy during the morning. In the rest, partly cloudy or clear with intervals of high clouds at the beginning. The haze at altitude will be removed.
As for temperatures, they will remain unchanged or slightly decreased. The wind will blow moderately from the northeast with strong intervals in inland areas, where there is a probability of some locally very strong gusts.
