The Municipal Group of the PSOE in the Arrecife City Council has presented a motion to name the Radio Lanzarote announcer, event presenter and chronicler in La Voz de Lanzarote, Francisco José Navarro Rodríguez, as Adopted Son of the capital.

The motion will be debated this Friday, February 29, during the celebration of the ordinary plenary session of the capital of Lanzarote. Francisco José Navarro's long career in the radio world is linked to Radio Lanzarote, where he dedicated around 40 years of his life and became one of the most recognized voices on the island.

Francisco José Navarro presented one of the most resonant programs on the station, such as Lanzarote va de ronda. He was also the voice behind the microphones in La Sobremesa or La Calle Real, among others. His career in the dean radio does not end there, since he was the control technician for the program Buenos Días Lanzarote for four decades.

Another of his most outstanding facets is that of master of ceremonies of the most important events on the island, with special dedication to folklore and traditional music, of which he continues to be a chronicler through publications in La Voz de Lanzarote.
