A decade after their separation and after a year back on stage, Los Enemigos are in great shape. Proof of this was the concert offered last Saturday in the Islas Canarias park in Arrecife, where the Madrid band offered a powerful and very attractive live performance, which was enjoyed by hundreds of people.
Los Enemigos' performance, the only one of the summer tour in the Canary Islands of "Revuelta enemiga", brought followers of the group from all over the archipelago to the capital of Lanzarote on Saturday, who, together with the fans from Lanzarote, sang classics such as "Desde el jergón" or "Septiembre".
As a perfect appetizer, Los Soul Jacket offered a good sample of their characteristic rock'n'soul, a warm and enveloping sound that delighted the public. The cameo moment of Hendrik Rover, from Deltonos, promoter and friend of the band, became an unexpected gift worthy of being remembered.
Already on Thursday, the large attendance at the first day of the Rock Festival showed the muscle of this genre and its fans. Special mention deserves the performance of Cumbia Ebria, who got the staff dancing with their unclassifiable festive style.
Los Smoking Stones, a tribute band to the Rolling Stones, also garnered numerous applause, especially with the interpretation of great hits such as Angie or Satisfaction.
Alejo Stivel, Los Lola and Treintaytantos, next appointments
The Councilor for Festivities, Víctor Sanginés, has described the recovery of the Islas Canarias park for rock concerts as a "great success". "That park was emblematic for this type of music and the epicenter of the carnival mogollones, musical performances and proposals for young people. The open air and the spaciousness of the area are ideal for summoning rock fans and we will continue to do so," he says.
He also invites the population of Lanzarote and the tourists who visit the island to return to the park next Saturday, to the recitals of Alejo Stivel, charismatic leader of Los Tequila, Los Lola and Treintaytantos, "three proper names that, each in their own style, are a guarantee of dancing and fun".
