Last Friday, the carnival parade took place in Playa Honda, which each year brings together a greater number of participants and attending public.

The departure took place at 6:00 p.m. from the Sociocultural Center as planned and included the participation of the Batucada Son de Ajey and the Children's Murgas Los Chau-Chau and Los Guacimetitos.

The parade toured La Avenida, which was filled with color and carnival rhythm. The drums announced their passage with great fanfare and hundreds of people accompanied the route dancing and laughing.

On the Avenue (at the height of Princesa Ico) a snack was enjoyed courtesy of groups from Playa Honda, and supported by the Department of Celebrations, where they were present in the organization of the entire event.

To conclude, the performances of the two children's murgas were held, which demonstrate year after year with their carnival commitment that this festival has a lot of good talent.

Children's Piñata

In addition, last Sunday the traditional children's piñata took place in San Bartolomé. The little ones dressed up for the occasion attended the event, with about 100 children accompanied by their parents.

A young member of the Yágamo Theater group, dressed as a cat, gave the point of children's entertainment to the party. The children enjoyed two piñatas, one for children under 7 years old and another for the older children.

During the event, the Murga Guacimetitos and the Batucada Son de Ajey were in charge of giving the musical and colorful note to the piñata Sunday, and the end of the carnivals in the municipality of San Bartolomé.
