Since César Manrique died, he has rarely come to Lanzarote. The island of volcanoes brings back too many memories, which he once built with the artist and his camera. Now he has decided to return on the occasion of the tribute exhibition that the National Association of Graphic Reporters has given him, and Francisco Rojas Fariña has been a witness to the history of Lanzarote through his fixed gaze that all those who attend from next Friday to the Lela Cafeteria on Calle Triana or to the Art Room of the Lancelot Hotel will be able to know or remember.

The exhibition entitled "From the 60s to today" includes photographs from all decades, including the present one of the Island. "There are photos from even a few weeks ago", commented Francisco Rojas Fariña at the presentation, "the time it reflects is heterogeneous and in terms of quality I have had to limit myself to a series of photos, 30 or 40. I have also added 6 murals that I had made and they are interesting because they are almost all of what has disappeared from Lanzarote: onion fields in Uga, peasants plowing...".

The exhibition can be visited from next Friday, but on Thursday the events in tribute to Francisco Rojas Fariñas, organized by ANIGP-TV for his extensive graphic work, will begin. The event will take place at the "Pancho Lasso" School of Art and several conferences and panel discussions will take place. In addition, the exhibition "23-F, twenty-five years later", by Manuel Hernández de León, can also be visited at the School.

During the presentation of the exhibition, Rojas Fariña was accompanied by the president of the Cabildo, Inés Rojas; the Minister of Culture, Miguel González, and another well-known photographer from the Island, José Luis Rojas, who has promoted the celebration of this tribute.
