The Arrecife Town Hall hosted this Friday the signing of the agreement between the capital's City Council and the César Manrique Foundation (FCM) for the transfer of premises owned by the Foundation to the municipality's Department of Culture due to the closure for renovations of the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture.
After the signing itself, the director of FCM, José Juan Ramírez, explained to the media gathered that it was the workers of the Department of Culture themselves who requested the organization to transfer the premises.
The transfer, as Ramírez explained, occurs for a period of two years, although with the possibility that it will be extended "for as long as necessary".
On the other hand, the mayor of Arrecife, María Isabel Déniz, recalled that during the debate held yesterday for the approval of the regional budgets in the Parliament of the Canary Islands, in the Education, Culture and Sports section, the two amendments presented by the Mixed group were accepted, which propose allocating two items of 30,000 euros for the Cultural and Sports Center of Torrelavega (Lanzarote) and the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture (Lanzarote).
