The controversy over Ylenia Padilla's "performance" on Youth Day held last weekend in Playa Blanca has jumped to national media and, in particular, to programs specializing in gossip magazines. The Caza Mariposas program, which airs on Tele 5 and Divinity, dedicated a report this Wednesday after the criticism raised on the island for the hiring of Ylenia by the Yaiza City Council.
In addition to interviewing the councilor of Somos Lanzarote in the Cabildo, Tomás López, the program also spoke with the protagonist. "The City Council hired me to do an image gig, okay?, an image gig," Ylenia told the program, denying that a "performance" was planned on her part.
It should be remembered that different formations have criticized not only the fact that this person was chosen, known for her controversial participation in reality shows, but also for the conditions in which she took the stage. "That will have to be said by the City Council," Ylenia replied in this regard. According to her, she limited herself to doing her "job". "And I did it luxuriously," she added.
In her opinion, the criticisms that her hiring has aroused are due to "political issues." In addition, regarding the comments about her state when she took the stage, she has insisted on questioning the parties that have referred to it. In her opinion, "if a political party is concerned about what Ylenia does, we already have enough information to know whether to vote for them or not."
